vertical-align: top; height: 311px;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The first public domain database for diabetes drugs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>In silico<\/em> prediction methods represent an efficient approach for the prediction of diabetes drugs, aiming to explain preclinical drug development and therefore enabling the reduction of associated time, costs and experiments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bio-hpc.ucam.edu\/dia-db\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>DIA-DB<\/strong><\/a> is a web application for the <em>in silico<\/em> prediction of diabetes drugs, which uses two different approaches:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">comparison by similarity with a curated database of anti-diabetic drugs and experimental compounds<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">inverse virtual screening of the input molecules chosen by the users against a set of protein targets identified as key elements in diabetes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The server is open to all users. registration is not necessary, and a detailed report with the prediction results is sent to the user by email.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 30.4584%; vertical-align: top; height: 186px;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main scope of the <em>ExploreOpuntia<\/em> project is the exploitation of different genotypes of the Greek varieties of Opuntia (<em>Opuntia ficus \u2013 indica<\/em>) by implementing various processes in order to obtain higher value-added products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Compared with other plants, Opuntia provides a wide range of exploitation potential due to the processing ability of various parts of the plant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The present project focuses on the integrated use of Opuntia to produce powders, isolate different colorants, encapsulate mixtures of sugars\/colorants, isolate edible oil, and to produce bio-products from the young cladodes (flattened stems) or nopalitos, from the cactus, seeds fruit, and the peels.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 30.4584%;
